Match winner
The simplest cricket bet: which side wins. In limited-overs cricket there is no draw, so it is a straight two-way market.
Top batsman & bowler
Pick the highest run-scorer or wicket-taker for a team or the whole match. Rewards knowing the batting order, not just the teams.
Over/under totals
Bet above or below a line on total runs, sixes, wickets or boundaries. Pitch reports matter more here than form.
In-play & session
Odds move ball by ball. Session markets price runs in a defined block of overs and settle before the innings ends.
Accumulators
Combine selections for multiplied odds. Every leg must land — the returns look large because the probability is small.
Cash out
Settle early at the current price. Useful for locking a profit; costly if you use it every time a match gets tense.

Reading the odds
Odds are shown in decimal by default: a price of 1.72 returns BDT 172 on a BDT 100 stake, including your stake back. Convert a price to the probability the bookmaker is implying by dividing 1 by the odds — 1.72 implies about 58%. Add the implied probabilities of both sides of a two-way market and you will get something above 100%. That excess is the margin, and it is how the sportsbook makes money. Comparing margins across markets is a more useful habit than hunting for a big price.
Where knowledge actually helps
Bookmakers price headline markets very efficiently — you are unlikely to find an edge on who wins a BPL final. Smaller markets are priced with less attention: first-innings totals on an unfamiliar ground, top-batsman lines when the batting order is about to change, or a domestic fixture that gets less modelling. That is where local knowledge of pitches, dew in evening matches, and squad rotation can be worth something. It is still a slow, narrow edge, not a system.
In-play betting and the delay
Live odds move on every delivery. Bear in mind that a television or streaming feed runs several seconds behind the ground, and the odds update from the ground, not from your screen. Betting in-play on what you have just seen means acting on information the market already has.

Settlement, Limits and Void Rules
Bets settle automatically once official results are confirmed, usually within minutes of the final ball. Cricket follows competition rules for rain-affected matches: a DLS result stands, an abandoned match voids the winner market and returns stakes, and completed-innings markets settle on what was completed.
